Ellie Fourie
Counselling Psychologist
I’m a registered psychologist.
Many of my clients come to me carrying trauma that has left them feeling disconnected from their bodies, ashamed of their sexuality, or stuck in painful relationship patterns. I offer a safe, affirming space where we can process trauma together and rebuild a sense of wholeness, self-worth, and authentic connection.
I specialise in working with people whose experiences of trauma, sexuality, or stigma have too often been misunderstood. This includes people who have worked in the sex industry, LGBTQ+ clients, and those living with complex trauma.
My approach combines EMDR with deep relational work to support healing without judgment.

I offer a professional, confidential, caring, and interpersonal process where you can talk about the things that are troubling you. Together we can discover what is happening for you on a deeper level and find ways to work through old patterns and find new meaning, clarity, direction, and hope.
I can help you:
Find your voice by finding ways that work for you to speak from your authentic self.
Face the fears and anxiety that prevent you from making life changes.
Work through avoidance, shame, and the effects of low self-esteem that are caused by living with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
Embrace giftedness.
Support highly sensitive persons (HSP) to navigate and embrace their deep sensitivity.
Process grief and loss.
Deal with anger, loneliness, and depression.
Heal the effects of psychological abuse and domestic violence.
Work through trauma, sexual abuse, childhood hurts and attachment issues.
Address self-harm, eating issues, and negative body image.
I also specialize in temperament therapy which looks at your unique personality profile.

"Kia ora. I am passionate about working with all people, from all walks of life, but especially women who have experienced trauma and relationship challenges. I focus on building a trusting therapeutic relationship in a safe and non-judgmental space. Together, we will explore past experiences, current struggles, or perhaps a current pattern you might be stuck in. With greater insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, you will find greater freedom to live the life you want to live. I am able to accept ACC sensitive claims."
